Michael's Treatment for a Torn ACL

Repairing one ligament is difficult enough; Michael’s sports medicine doctor repaired four. Lake Forest College quarterback Michael Lewis knew what that “popping” sound was – a torn ACL. What he didn’t know was that he’d also torn three other ligaments in his knee, possibly ending his career. A sports medicine orthopaedic surgeon at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital used an innovative grafting technique to reconstruct the four ligaments. The result – Michael led his team to an 8-2 record in his senior year.
